THIS PAINTED POTTERY FIGURE REPRESENT AN ELEGANT NOBLE LADY OF THE TANG DYNASTY (618-907 AD.)
Fat lady with a flowing, full-length dress, her hair piled on the top of her head in an ornate single-chignon. Her figure is typical of the ladies of the court of the period. Her hands are held out in front of her, the right hand enveloped in the sleeve. Private collection.
